PART 4: CONCLUDING REMARKS The core of this Framework was produced in the weeks following the June 1995 EMARPRG meeting at St. Albans and revised in the light of comments received before, during and after the November 1995 meeting at Harmston. We are grateful to Dr Steve Willis, the co-ordinator of the Study Group’s National Research Framework, for his comments. The full versions of all the original submissions are held by the EMARPRG secretary (T.S. Martin). What the EMARPRG have shown is that the combined knowledge of its members can define the major gaps in our knowledge and ways to remedy them in the form of regional research priorities. We shall aim to look again, some time in the next decade, at how these challenges have been met.
