Roman Pottery Bibliography
The Roman pottery bibliography was developed by Robin Symonds for publication in the Journal of Roman Pottery Studies. In JRPS 1, Robin described the aim of the bibliography as comprising ‘recent publications which in any serious way contribute to the study of Roman pottery in Britain ... from 1982 to the present’ (JRPS 1, 1986, 80). Bibliography was published in JRPS 1-5 (1986-1992) edited by Robin Symonds; in JRPS 6 (1993) he compiled an index of the existing bibliography. In JRPS 11 another installment of the bibliography was printed, edited by Colin Wallis and Robin Symonds. This published bibliography is now available on-line, organised as in the printed by version by Historic County using abbreviations listed in JRPS 6.
In future the bibliography will not be printed in JRPS, but will be an exclusively on-line resource. New contributions to the bibliography are welcome and will be placed on-line immediately they become available, rather than according to a fixed deadline within the year. Those wishing to submit bibliography should

Abbreviations used in JRPS 1-6 and 11 are given here.
